The Service
At Wheelfreedom, we understand how important it is to have peace of mind. During our easy order process you can select to have delivery any weekday morning, including the next morning provided your order is placed by 3.30pm Monday - Friday.
In the unlikely event that you have a problem with your equipment, let us know and we will have a replacement with you the next working morning free of charge. At this time we will collect the faulty equipment.
All of our products are shipped in a custom made Wheelfreedom box which collapses for easy storage, for use again at the end of the hire period.
We collect payment once a fortnight. When you have finished with your equipment simply let us know and we will arrange collection on a convenient afternoon and cancel the payment agreement.
Frequently asked questions
Orders can be placed by clicking on the 'hire now' button at the top of the page.
You will need to register with us. When you place your order we will require your billing address, credit card details, contact telephone number and delivery address. Once the order is complete you will receive a confirmation email.

The initial payment is taken at the time of ordering, this covers the first 2 weeks hire, delivery and collection. Subsequent payments are taken every 2 weeks from the date of delivery on a credit/debit card subscription service.
Once you have told us that you would like to finish the hire, no further payments will be taken. Any unused hire weeks can be refunded.
After 1 year you have the option to own the hired product at no additional cost.
After one year of hiring you have the option to take ownership of your equipment, we will send you an email informing you that you have had the equipment for 1 year.
You can either do this by logging into your account or speaking with one of the team. If you choose to take up this option the equipment will become yours and you will no longer be covered by our next day replacement service, the equipment will also have passed out of its manufacturers warranty at this time.
Unless we hear from you we will assume that you wish to keep the next day replacement service and will therefore continue to charge your card the reduced 53+ week charge for this service.

We do not require a deposit. We are keen to keep our service as affordable as possible.
Hire periods last for as long as you want, when you want to finish the hire simply let us know and we will arrange collection. However there is a minimum charge of two weeks hire, in addition to the usual carriage costs.
After 1 year you have the option to own the item for no additional cost.
Your order will be delivered by a national courier in a custom-made Wheelfreedom box. Delivery costs £29.99: this price includes both delivery and collection at the end of the hire period.
Your order can be delivered any weekday morning before 12pm, this can include the next day as long as your order is received before 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
Saturday morning delivery is available for an additional £10 charge. We also offer a before 10am service which is charged at an additional £5. These options can be selected during the ordering process.
If you live in the Scottish Highlands or do not live within mainland Britain please contact us as there may be an additional delivery charge or the delivery may take longer depending on the location.
Please retain the box for collection. It is collapsible and can be easily stored.

Our wheelchairs arrive assembled and folded down. They only require unfolding and the footplates to be clipped on. You can see a demonstration of this on the Why Hire page
Our scooters come in five large pieces and clip together very simply. Likewise the scooter can be disassembled very simply for transportation, this process requires no tools and once familiar should take no longer than a minute.
Our bath lifts arrive in two pieces plus the control. They have four large suckers which attached the base to the bath, the chair then simply clips into the base without the need for tools.
Our wheelchairs are delivered in a reusable transport box. The wheelchairs can simply be rolled out of the boxes and rolled back in. There are two straps which release to open the box and can simply be clipped together once the chair is packed up.

Before dispatch all Wheelfreedom products have been through a Sunrise Medical approved inspection.
However, if you do experience a problem during your hire please contact us. We will help you to fix the problem or arrange your next day replacement service.
We will make a charge if the fault has occurred through deliberate misuse. For further details, please see our terms and conditions.
Login to your Wheelfreedom account and click on the ‘Return Equipment’ option.
You will be asked to fill in the collection address and select a suitable collection afternoon, all payments will finish the day before your collection day.

All products are fully guaranteed for the duration of the hire period. This forms part of the next day replacement service.
All of our equipment can be purchased before the end of the first year's hire period either with or without our next day replacement service. Please

Mobility hire is available to those who are 'chronically sick or disabled' without VAT.
According to HM Revenue and Customs a person is ‘chronically sick or disabled’ if he/she is a person:
- with a physical or mental impairment which has a long-term and substantial adverse effect upon his/her ability to carry out everyday activities;
- with a condition which the medical profession treats as a chronic sickness, such as diabetes; or
- who is terminally ill.
It does not include a frail elderly person who is otherwise able-bodied or any person who is only temporarily disabled or incapacitated, such as with a broken limb.
If you or the person you are hiring for is classified as chronically sick or disabled please call us on 0800 0258005 and we will arrange for a form to reclaim the VAT to be sent to you. When we've received the completed form, we will arrange for any VAT which you have paid to us to be refunded at the end of the hire period.
We accept payment by Visa and Mastercard, including Visa debit and Visa Electron. Unfortunately we do not accept American Express and are now no longer able to accept Maestro or Solo due to them no longer being able to support subscription payments.
