Our wheelchair powerpack is a nifty addition to a manual wheelchair for those who may struggle to push a wheelchair around. Easy to fit to a wheelchair, it does the hard work for you, and is more than capable of managing general daily use.
Made by well-known manufacturers TGA Mobility, the Duo powerpack is designed with simplicity in mind. It easily attaches to the bracket which we pre-fit to our Lightweight Foldable Wheelchairs, and the controls are simple to use. Just turn the key to switch the powerpack on, then press the button to move forward. A switch allows the powerpack to be changed to reverse mode if needed.
Our powerpack has two wheels for added traction, and the battery gives it a range of up to 10 miles, which is more than sufficient for most usage. Its weight capacity of 18 stone matches that of our popular Lightweight Foldable Wheelchairs, and we do offer a Heavy Duty Powerpack for heavier users.
The powerpack is ideal for those that want an attendant controlled wheelchair that doesn’t require any pushing. It is a popular hire product for people finding themselves in need of a wheelchair for a friend or relative, but who aren’t capable of pushing a wheelchair for extended periods of time.
