The Salsa M - Which One To Get?
24 Oct 2014
Sunrise Medical`s Salsa M powerchair has only been out for a few years, yet is already the defining mid-wheel drive configurable powerchair on the market, with a great balance of indoor and outdoor use. A range of variants on the popular Salsa M chassis have been released lately, to make it available to as wide a range of people as possible. The Quickie Salsa M is, of course, the standard version of the Salsa – designed for adults of a range of shapes and sizes, it blends configurability with performance. Manoeuvrable indoors and powerful outdoors, it has advanced suspension and customisable seating options. The HD version caters for people up to 25 stone, and comes with premium JAY comfort seating. The Zippie Salsa M is the children`s version, ideal for youngsters who need much smaller seat sizes, and a wheelchair that can grow with them. A newly released variant is the Zippie Salsa M Teens – ideal, as the name suggests, for teenagers and particularly slim adults who would have been too tall for the children`s version and would find the adult`s version too wide. Finally, the new Quickie Salsa M2 is of course out – while similar in terms of function and performance to the standard Salsa, it has improved ground clearance and a stylish matt black finish, as well as the usual range of seating options.
