Manual Wheelchair Hire Service

At Wheelfreedom, we understand that many of our customers will be hiring mobility equipment for the first time. Therefore it's important have good advice and a reliable service. We aim to make the entire ordering process as smooth as possible, and our customer services team is here to talk you through your many options.

Our Service

Since we pioneered the original nationwide wheelchair hire service back in 2007, we've helped out tens of thousands of customers and continue to provide the only all-inclusive rental service to this day. All the following features come as standard, with no additional charges or hidden extras:

Full International Insurance

covers all hire equipment. The lightweight and transportable nature of our products, makes them ideal for travel abroad, for example on planes or cruises.

Free Next-morning Replacement

In the unlikely event of any problems with your equipment, we'll deliver a replacement the next working morning, free of charge. At the same time we'll collect the faulty equipment.

Flexible Hire Periods

As needs and recovery periods aren't always certain, there's no need to decide in advance how long you want hire your equipment

Range of Sizes Available

We don't believe that "one size fits all", so our range includes different seat widths, to provide a comfortable fit for those of different body sizes and shapes.

Next-morning Delivery

When time is of the essence we can deliver without delay. Simply place your order by 3.30pm on a weekday and we'll deliver your equipment the next working day morning.

Bespoke Foldable Transport Box

Your wheelchair or rollator comes in a smart and easy to store Wheelfreedom box. Use this to re-box your equipment when the hire period comes to an end, ready for pickup.

Fully Serviced and Steam-cleaned

All of our equipment is fully serviced and thoroughly steam-cleaned so your wheelchair or rollator arrives fully functional and in the condition you're entitled to expect.

No Notice Period for Cancellations

If using the equipment is no longer necessary we can collect the working day after you contact us.

Crash-tested Equipment

All our wheelchairs, except the Bariatric Wheelchair, are fully crash-tested. This ensures our hire equipment is fit for purpose and the provision of safe transportation.

No Deposit Taken

We like to keep things simple and affordable, so we don't ask for a deposit.

All our wheelchairs are supplied to meet a particular need - we don't offer a confusing array of products that all do the same thing. We have carefully sourced, reliable, effective, and transportable products to ensure they're fit for purpose and for your needs. They are all thoroughly cleaned and serviced in between hires, to ensure that your equipment arrives with you in good working order.

Ordering and Delivery

The need for renting a wheelchair or rollator is often unplanned and urgent. As such, we offer next-morning delivery for all our manual mobility products (except the Tilt in Space wheelchair) across mainland Britain.

Simply place an order by 3.30pm on a weekday, and we will deliver your wheelchair to you the next working day. Should it be required, morning and Saturday deliveries are available for an additional cost - these can be requested when ordering.

We ship our wheelchairs and rollators in a custom made Wheelfreedom box, which collapses for easy storage for use again at the end of the hire period. Our wheelchairs simply require unfolding and the footrests to be clipped on, with our team on hand should you have any queries.

Orders for hire can be placed over the phone with one of our friendly and knowledgeable customer service staff.

Ordering

Order by 3.30pm on a weekday, and we will deliver your wheelchair or rollator to you the next working day morning in a Wheelfreedom box, which is re-usable and collapsible for easy storage.

Receiving

Next working day morning delivery on all products (except the Tilt in Space Wheelchair) across mainland Britain. Early morning and Saturday deliveries are available for an additional fee.

Returning

At the end of the hire period simply return the wheelchair or rollator to the Wheelfreedom box, ready for pick up.
