We only hire the latest products
Since our conception in 2007, we have partnered leading wheelchair manufacturers Sunrise Medical and Invacare, who have kept us up-to-date with the most recent models and servicing techniques. We have recently worked with them to provide paediatric, heavy user and Tilt in Space wheelchairs in addition to our normal fleet. If you have any particular requests for a product please do let us know and we will make the necessary enquiries on your behalf.
No deposit to pay on any of our equipment
High quality mobility products do not come cheap and whilst we do offer middle to top end equipment (the RRP of our cheapest wheelchair is £391), we do not take a deposit, which makes our service more affordable; both to the customer who does not have to forfeit a large sum and for us in reducing administrative costs. For this reason we do however need to take payment on a credit or debit card.
Speed of Delivery
Wheelfreedom have negotiated very favourable rates with a number of leading national courier companies who specialise in delivering medical equipment. All of our packages are sent out on a pre-midday service and we track every package from our office. In the unlikely event that there is a problem, we should be able to rectify it from our end to ensure you receive your hired goods before midday. We are not aware of another company in the mobility industry who are able to offer such a service as standard.
We also offer before 10.30am and Saturday morning delivery options, these can be selected at the checkout stage.
Whilst our cut-off for guaranteed next day delivery is 3.30pm each afternoon, more often than not we can still arrange for a delivery the next morning until 5pm; if you're in desperate need please call us on 0800 0258005 and we'll see what we can arrange for you.
Next day replacement service in case of any problems
If, at any time, there is a fault with the equipment on hire, whether through accident or manufacture, Wheelfreedom aim to replace the faulty equipment the next working day without question. We do reserve the right to pass on a charge if the failure is due to deliberate misuse - however we have not, to date, had to exercise this option.
This gives our users, and their relatives, the peace of mind that they should never be stuck with either faulty equipment or no equipment while repair takes place.
This service is unique in the mobility industry; we are committed to ensuring that all of our customers are able to enjoy the freedom derived from our equipment hire; and are not left without equipment during repair; as often happens if you take your own equipment to a repair facility.
Flexible hire periods
As many of our customers are unsure how long they will need a wheelchair for, our hire periods are flexible, with payment taken every two weeks on a rolling basis. We do have to levy a minimum charge which covers the first two weeks of hire. This charge covers the costs of our demanding and thorough service and cleaning in-between hires, resulting in a consistently low breakdown rate.
All of our equipment is fully insured
All of our mobility equipment is fully insured for use both at home and abroad together with a public liability insurance of £2,000,000. Our insurance covers the equipment against accidental damage and theft, in which case we will send you replacement equipment within 24 hours. We do ask for adequate proof of measures taken to avoid theft together with a police report.
