Sunrise Medical Quickie Jive M Powerchair
- Top outdoor performance including off-road
- No compromise on indoor manoeuvrability
- JAY seating options
- Advanced power controls
The Quickie Jive M is a top performing outdoor and indoor powerchair made by market leaders Sunrise Medical that offers excellent performance, comfort and safety. For those that don't want to compromise on indoor and outdoor performance, it is the ultimate solution - with top of the range suspension giving it off-road capabilities outdoors, while the mid-wheel drive keeps it manoeuvrable when used inside. JAY seating options allow the Jive to be set up to provide the comfort and support needed by the user, and a full range of powered options, including lift, tilt and recline, are available.
The Jive M excels outdoors, where its unique SpiderTrac gas suspension allows it to be used off-road. The suspension absorbs and cushions bumps as you go, and keeps the seat steady and stable to a level that other powerchairs just can't match. The Jive can climb kerbs of up to 4 inches, as well as providing a smooth descent down kerbs of the same height, with no jolts or forward pitching. High-torque motors allow the Jive to manage slopes of up to 10°, and the standard configuration comes with a top speed of 6 mph - which can be upgraded to 8 mph if required. The seating position adds more weight to the drive wheels, increasing traction, and resulting in the Jive being the top performing powerchair outdoors, capable of managing even rugged terrain.
Mid-wheel drive means that the Jive M is super-manoeuvrable, able to turn on the spot. This means the Jive M has no compromise between indoor and outdoor usage - it excels at both. The overall width of 24 - 26 inches (depending on options) allows the Jive to comfortably fit through doorways and most narrow spaces. The intuitive drive offered by its mid-wheel drive, and tight turning circle means that the Jive M is more than capable of being used in confined spaces even by those that sometimes have difficulty driving a powered wheelchair.
The Jive M comes as standard with Heavy Duty seat fitted with JAY Comfort cushion and backrest, and a wide range of seating options and adjustments are available. These include changes to the seat width and depth, the length, angle and type of legrests, and the backrest angle - the options are far too many to list, so we would recommend calling us to find out. It can cater for more clinical needs than the seating system found on the Salsa range and Jive M Hybrid seating system, with the ability to set a different backrest width to the seat width. The low seat height helps with access under tables and transportation, and a 90° knee angle is possible.
As would be expected on a high-end wheelchair, a large number of powered options are available. This includes powered lift and tilt, powered back recline and powered elevating leg rests - these help ensure the comfort of the user, as well as assisting with posture. Advanced controls including the R-Net controller pictured allow all these advanced features to be easily accessed and used.
Transit approved, the Jive M has been successfully crash tested, and is therefore capable of being used as a seat in a vehicle when transporting the wheelchair user. Tie-down points allow it to be easily and safely secured for transport.
The Jive M is the ultimate outdoor and indoor powerchair, ideal for people that want a top performing wheelchair for extensive use both indoors and out. It offers no compromises on performance or comfort, and can be set up to exactly suit the needs of the user. A low-maintenance wheelchair, the Jive M is also modular, allowing adjustments to be made, and new features fitted at a later date - meaning that if your needs change, the Jive M can be changed to suit them.
We offer the Jive M on short-term hire with Jay Comfort cushioning, with powered lift and tilt also available. This is ideal for those that wish to try out the capabilities of the wheelchair prior to either purchasing one or hiring on a long-term basis. We can then carry out an assessment, allowing us to provide more prescriptive seating options such as J3 cushions and backrests for those after a bespoke wheelchair.
The Quickie Jive M has now been discontinued and replaced by the new Quickie Q700 M, which is a more modern powerchair featuring the improved Sedeo Pro seating system and Spidertrac 2.0 suspension.
We are able to offer an ex-demo model with powered positioning at a reduced rate for either purchase or long-term hire; please call our customer service team for more information on this.
