Introducing Caroline: Advancing Wheelfreedom’s Clinical Expertise

Wed Nov 26 2025

Wheelfreedom is delighted to welcome Caroline to the team as a Physiotherapist specialising in complex posture and seating. As a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, Caroline treated people living with injuries, movement difficulties and long-term conditions such as chronic back pain, frozen shoulders, and hip and knee injuries. This breadth of clinical experience has become a powerful foundation for her specialist work in posture and seating, helping patients to achieve comfort and a good seated posture.

Caroline first entered the world of specialist seating in 2008 and quickly discovered a deep passion for postural management. Over the years, she has worked across several wheelchair services around London as well as in independent practice, refining her clinical skills and building extensive experience in complex seating. A key focus in Caroline’s practice is on 24-hour posture management, which takes on a holistic approach to seating solutions. She believes a healthy posture should not be limited to time spent in a wheelchair, but should be supported throughout the entire day and night. Through this work, she has seen firsthand how the right seating solution can be transformative — not only physically, but also in terms of function, independence and emotional wellbeing.

In her day-to-day role at Wheelfreedom, Caroline conducts detailed postural assessments for clients with complex seating needs. She listens closely to each person to understand them wholly, ensuring their lifestyle, clinical needs and personal goals shape their solution. From evaluating posture and mobility challenges to trialling specialist seating options, she taps into her expertise to create bespoke, clinically effective solutions that enhance function and quality of life. Caroline explains, “I believe in the foundation of a thorough assessment — only by taking the time to understand the whole person can we truly identify their needs and create the most effective, individualised solutions”. Caroline’s patient-centred philosophy is central to her work and aligns closely with Wheelfreedom’s approach to clinical care.

With shared values, Caroline was drawn to join Wheelfreedom’s clinical team. Caroline mentions, “The company’s values and commitment to high-quality care deeply resonated with me, and I’m excited to bring my passion for posture, education, and specialist seating to a team dedicated to raising standards and improving the quality of life for the people they support.”
