Servicing, Maintenance and Repairs

If you come to visit our showroom, you will be able to see our service centre through the viewing window - so you can watch our engineers at work! We have a substantial service centre, and our large team of engineers are experienced in maintaining, repairing and adapting mobility equipment. Regular servicing is vital to keep your mobility equipment reliably functioning, so it is always there for you.

Chessington Service Centre

Our Chessington HQ incorporates a substantial service centre, where we carry out repairs, servicing and bespoke adaptations on equipment we provide. Staffed by our experienced engineers, it is fully stocked with the equipment and parts needed to maintain your mobility equipment in top notch condition. We also have a decontamination room, allowing us to thoroughly clean your equipment.

Mobile Engineers

We also run a fleet of van-based engineers, able to come out to your address to carry out repairs. From our Chessington base, we can cover the whole of London and the South East, able to respond to your needs quickly and efficiently.

Servicing, Maintenance and Repairs

At Wheelfreedom we understand how important your mobility equipment is to maintaining your independence. Our experienced engineers can help to keep you mobile by carrying out any servicing and repairs you require. In line with the manufacturers' guidelines, we strongly recommend having a service carried out on your equipment annually to ensure it remains in good working order.

We can service and repair any wheelchair, scooter, rollator, chair or bed made by one of the manufacturers we are partnered with. Our technical team is experienced with these products, and are able to source spare parts for their range.

We are able to offer a 20% discount on servicing and labour rates for those that have purchased their equipment from us.

Our standard labour charge for repairs and modifications is £100 per hour, charged in half hour increments.

The call-out charge for us to come out to you is £60 (ex VAT). Please bear in mind that if we need to bring your equipment to our workshop and then return it, we will need to charge for both ways.

Replacement parts are at an additional cost; this will be confirmed with you prior to fitting.

If you require a call-out from one of our Prescriptive Assessors instead of one of our engineers, for example for complex seating, advanced programming, and complex adjustments, there is a flat £200 (ex VAT) charge for this, which covers coming to your address and up to an hour of labour. Additional time is charged at £100 (ex VAT) per hour.
