As with the adult Light Drive, the Mini features motors that drive your rear wheels, and is controlled by the wheelchair occupant via a joystick. It can drive at speeds of up to 6.2 mph, and has a long range of 10 miles courtesy of its ultra-light lithium battery. There are few powered add-ons for wheelchairs that are designed to work with children's wheelchairs. The Light Drive Mini 2.1 is great at allowing your child to enjoy longer journeys out and about with the family or friends, particularly on the kind of ground that pushing or self-propelling is a struggle. What's more, it can be quickly removed or disengaged, ensuring you don't compromise your child's development of their self-propelling wheelchair skills.
