Alber E-Motion M25

Alber's E-Motion M25 power wheels are a push-rim activated add-on that take the strain off propelling yourself. Each push on the push rim is registered by the in-built sensors and translated into the ideal amount of power assistance, meaning it takes less effort to travel greater distances or on slopes. This helps to protect your muscles and joints from strain and premature wear, whilst still maintaining your physical fitness and activity in a manual wheelchair. They are also ideal for those with limited hand function, and can accommodate imbalances in strength. Light, powerful and well-designed, E-Motions are the definitive powered wheel add-ons from market leaders Alber.

Assessments

Some wheelchair add-ons require an assessment with one of our Prescriptive Assessors prior to ordering, to ensure they are suitable for your wheelchair, and to run over the options available. Other "standard" products that are not built to order may not require an assessment before ordering.

We can carry out assessments either at our Chessington HQ where you will have the opportunity to try out our full range of products, or at your home address where we can also assess the environment you will be using the wheelchair around.

Our specialists are experienced with all aspects of the products we supply, and can demonstrate and assess for all the options available. Should you wish to have a clinical input as well, then we can arrange to assess alongside one of our partnered Occupational Therapists - there is a further charge for this service.

Process

If an assessment is required first, then following this we will provide a quote for the equipment as assessed with you. When you are ready to order we will need to take a 50% non-refundable deposit to commence the order. Some wheelchair add-ons are available for immediate dispatch, while others are built to order, and can take a few weeks, particularly if being fitted to a new wheelchair.

Once your order is ready, it can be collected from our Chessington HQ, or we can arrange delivery to your home address. We will set up your equipment, making any adjustments necessary to ensure that it is perfectly fitted, and spend the time with you to ensure that you are confident with its usage.

We understand that every person is an individual, and that some people may require longer to get used to their new wheelchair add-ons - particularly if this is the first time they have used one. Our staff are experienced with handovers, and will spend as long as necessary to ensure you are comfortable with the equipment.
