Permobil's advanced Corpus seating system comes not just with a powered stand function, but also with a powered lifter, seat tilt, lie-flat anti-shear recline and elevating legrests, all included as standard. This allows you to change between a range of positions for comfort and practical advantages. You can drive the M Corpus VS with the seat fully elevated at 3.2 mph, allowing you to socialise at eye-level on the move.
Your M VS's seating will be set up to perfectly fit your body shape and size, courtesy of the configurable Corpus seating system that we tailor to you. This modular seat can be adjusted in the future should your requirements change, and every element of the seat from backrest to seat cushion, and armrests to headrest can be customised to provide the ultimate levels of comfort and support.
Mid-Wheel Drive
Standing powerchairs have traditionally featured front-wheel drive, which while it offers a good balance between outdoor performance and indoor manoeuvrability, is less intuitive to drive and usually results in a large wheelbase. The M VS features mid-wheel drive for the ultimate levels of manoeuvrability. The power base builds on Permobil's mid-wheel drive experience, blending the performance of the Permobil M5 with the compact width of the M3. This unlocks the benefit of a standing powerchair for those who have more restricted indoor spaces that require a smaller chassis and mid-wheel drive's ability to turn on the spot.
The M Corpus VS is no slouch outdoors either, with a top speed of 8 mph available, backed up by large 83 Ah batteries that offer a 25 mile range on a single charge. The base has been designed to provide stability, traction and ride comfort
Controls
The M Corpus VS is built with the R-Net control system that can be personalised to your requirements - our experienced assessors will spend the time with you to carefully program your M VS to your precise needs. It comes with a large LCD screen joystick as standard, allowing for clear control of your powerchair. A switch box is a common addition, as this allows you to move to one of several personalised seating (or standing!) positions at the toggle of a button.
Special control options are available, and commonly seen on Permobil's standing powerchairs - the full array of special control options can work with the M VS, including micro joysticks, head controls, chin controls, sip and puff controls, as well as more everyday options such as attendant controls, and programmable buddy buttons.
Style
Permobil look to perfect every aspect of their products without compromise, and their powerchairs feature a minimalistic appearance with sleek black bodywork and cabling hidden away from view (and from being snagged!). You can choose from 10 standard colour accents and three premium metallic ones such as the bronze pictured, although we can also fashion more bespoke options such as hydrographic prints on request.

We think the M Corpus VS is a game-changer, making a Permobil standing powered wheelchair available to a much wider audience, in particular those needing to navigate confined indoor spaces - enabling you to access and interact with more of the world. If your space at home or work is not limited, it is worth trying alongside the F5 VS to see which of front or mid-wheel drive you prefer.
