RGK Tiga Sub4

There's nothing lighter than the RGK Tiga Sub4 in our range. The aluminium frame combines with the made to measure options and accessories to produce a truly outstanding wheelchair.

Product Description

RGK have redefined the popular Tiga model with Sub4 technology, enabling them to create the ultra-lightweight Tiga Sub4 wheelchair, guaranteed to weigh less than 4 kilograms. This technology involves utilizing advanced materials and design techniques to achieve a significant reduction in the weight of the wheelchair, enhancing its performance, durability and usability.

Over 30 individual measurements are taken of the user to ensure the Tiga fits their individual requirements, providing a compact, personalized fit and optimal posture, comfort and performance. Additionally, RGK provide a full range of ergonomic backrests and seats to ensure comfort, pelvic positioning and balance. And there is a wide range of other accessories available such as wheel locks, side guards, push handles and armrests.

Made from aerospace grade aluminium as standard the transport weight is an incredible 3.5kg. This light weight makes everyday travel that much easier with the Tiga Sub4 but it has the potential to rise to 12kg depending on additional options, excluding third party wheelchair add-ons. With wheels, the total weight of the wheelchair is 5.5kg rising to a maximum of 15kg, again depending in additional options but not including third party add-ons.

The Tiga Sub4 is as stylish as it is functional, featuring axle, footrest and backrest adjustable options, enhancing the wheelchair experience with style and performance. RGK's Airtech Sub4 Technology system provides for a tension adjustable backrest and centre pad, including mesh cover panels, for better support and positioning. It's a breathable material designed to keep you cool. But options on the Tiga Sub4 don't end with functionality. Pick your own decal colour, choose from a satin or gloss finish or even add your own personal text or logo.

Our Verdict

In terms of transport weight, the Tiga Sub4 is one of the lightest rigid wheelchairs in our range. It's got to be seen if lightweight portability is a key consideration for you.
