The Zippie Salsa's seat is adjustable from 12 inches by 12 inches (30cm by 30cm) to 16 inches by 16 inches (40cm by 40cm). This means that it can be configured to fit young children all the way up to adulthood. The seating can be adjusted as your child grows, which means the wheelchair won't need replacing due to your child outgrowing it.

For those with more specialist needs, a vast range of seating options are available with the Salsa, including comfort cushioning, backrests, headrests, legrests and lateral supports. Additionally, various powered postural additions can be fitted to the Salsa, including powered lift, powered tilt, powered recline and powered elevating leg rests.

The Salsa M2's suspension offers a smooth ride over uneven terrain, and anti-pitch technology eliminates the risk of pitching on slopes, keeping the wheelchair user safe on slopes of up to 8°. While some more basic mid-wheel drive powerchairs may struggle on uneven surfaces and ramps, the Salsa's all-wheel independent suspension allows it to negotiate them with ease. A long range of up to 20 miles means that the Salsa should never be without power, even when tackling rough terrain.

Equally at home indoors, mid-wheel drive allows the Zippie Salsa to turn on the spot, and the narrow width of the wheelchair means that it can easily fit through doors and confined spaces. While most other powerchairs will offer a compromise between indoor manoeuvrability and outdoor performance, the Salsa is truly able to handle both with ease. The simple to use controller is ideal for a younger wheelchair user and will be easy for them to master. For those wishing to focus on indoor manoeuvrability, and needing the most compact size possible, the Zippie 

 variant is a narrower version, although it compromises slightly on range to achieve this.

The Salsa M2 is also fully crash tested making it safe for occupied transport when tied down in a suitably adapted vehicle.
