The compact frame of the Aero X folds with a fluid, easy to use mechanism. Side to side folding minimises the width when folded, and maximises your ease of transportation. The snap-in seat saddles lock the cross tubes in place when unfolded, helping the Aero X achieve a more rigid performance - unlike the flexing you can traditionally feel from cross-braces.

The Aero X is the aluminium version of TiLite's titanium 

. While it doesn't have the same vibration dampening qualities of the 2GX, and is a little heavier, the Aero X is still a highly impressive folding wheelchair - easily a match for equivalent aluminium folding chairs from rival manufacturers.

The modular design of the Aero X facilitates high levels of adjustability. This allows for third party seating systems to be added, including subsequent to the chair being built. Most notably, the wheelchair can be switched between having a fixed and swing-away front end; not something you will find on any other model. Adjustable seat width and depth are also available - unprecedented on a performance chair of this level.

The Tru-Fit system incorporates an infinite adjustment mechanism - allowing fine tuning rather than being limited to a series of pre-set holes. By clamping components directly onto the frame, the design eliminates frame-weakening holes in the tubing that are one of the main stress points on other wheelchairs.

The Aero X can be fully configured to match your seating and lifestyle needs. Built in your size, there are a range of seating and backrest options to maximise your comfort. Roho backrests can be fitted for those requiring higher levels of postural support, and third-party seating can also be attached.

As with any active chair, you can customise the options and components, including castors, wheels, handrims, tyres, push-handles, sideguards, footrests and more.

TiLite chairs turn heads, and the Aero X is no exception. The clean lines of the modern frame really stand out, and can have a tattooed design on the front frame to make your chair truly unique. Alternatively there are a range of frame colours to select from, including matte, gloss, metallic and pearlescent ones.

The Aero X sits around the same level as Kuschall's 

 and offers a durable and stylish alternative to them. We would recommend trying out all three to see which works best for you.
