Wheelfreedom partner with leading children's charity - Tree of Hope

Tue Sep 27 2022

Wheelfreedom are pleased to announce a new partnership with the leading children’s crowdfunding charity, Tree of Hope. This new partnership provides a solution for those who may need extra financial and emotional support when sourcing medical treatment and equipment for children.

Who are Tree of Hope?

Tree of Hope are the crowdfunding charity of choice, helping children and young people with a disability or illness by supporting their families to raise funds for specialist care that is not always as freely available to them via the NHS.

Tree of Hope enable families to fundraise under a registered charity, giving access to corporate donations, Gift Aid, access to trusts and foundations and giving donor reassurance. By connecting with Tree of Hope, families will also have access to fundraising and emotional support on the end of the phone.

Their services are available nationwide and are not means tested which means anyone with a child under 18 can apply for fundraising help.

What does the new partnership between Wheelfreedom and Tree of Hope mean for customers?

At Wheelfreedom, we understand that mobility equipment can be an unexpected and costly expense that is not always affordable for individuals and families. We have formed a partnership with Tree of Hope to offer extra support to families in need of paediatric mobility equipment.

We will put you in touch with the charity where they can enhance your chances of raising funds for equipment. Some of the benefits of working with Tree of Hope are:

  • Being able to claim Gift Aid on donations (which is an additional 25% if the donor is a UK tax payer).

  • Receiving support from Tree of Hope's Family Support team – this includes tailored fundraising action plans, ideas on what fundraisers to complete, marketing resources & tools to get the most out of fundraising, or answering any queries throughout the process (from setting up the fundraiser to making payments).

  • Receiving social media & PR support with the opportunity for newsletter features.

  • Helping with approaches to businesses, and potential of match funding as your campaign will be under a registered charity.

  • Helping with potential Trust and Foundation applications.

  • Managing supplier invoices and payments.

The money raised can then be used to purchase any mobility equipment at our showroom in Chessington. We will still carry out assessments as usual, which can include specialist seating assessments and tailored advice from our team of specialists and mobility assessors.
