Product Description

Performance with a lightweight frame

The Klick Power comprises a 750 W motor and 14-inch smooth thread tyres to generate a 50 Nm torque. Navigating urban environments is effortless with compactly-sized tyres. Speeding up to 12.4 mph, the Power allows you to travel fast with your wheelchair. At only 10.4 kg, the Power is excellent for manoeuvring in the city and on flat terrains when spending time with friends or family.

Choose between three different battery options with a varying range of 9.3, 18.6 and 37.3 miles.

Effortless user experience

The electronic braking system allows users to brake electronically with a button on the handlebar to recover a portion of their battery life. Braking mechanically is also easy with the lever located on the handlebar.

Users can refer to the LCD for travel information, remaining battery and range. Adding to your convenience, a built-in USB port is readily available to charge your mobile devices. Anti-theft technology is incorporated into Klick Power, when enabled users will need to input their password to operate the handbike.

Travel at your set desired speed with the intelligent speed control to conserve your energy as you go uphill or downhill. The optional Hill Hold Control feature is available to safely secure your wheelchair into place on inclined grounds.

Customise to your comfort

The patented central linking system allows users to attach and detach the Klick Power in seconds. A lateral linking system is also available if your wheelchair is not compatible with the central linking system.

Choose between the standard or tetra handlebars, both handlebar options have adjustable height, depth and angle. Users who are unable to operate the standard handball can use the tetra handlebars to accelerate and brake with a push or pull.

Our Verdict

The Klaxon Klick Power handbike is an excellent lightweight option for users travelling in urban areas and flat terrains. With the compact 14-inch wheel and 10.4 kg transport weight, the Klick Power effectively manoeuvres through smaller areas.

Triride Special Light handbike is a lightweight handbike generating 50 Nm of torque with a 1000 W motor.  Its transport weight is only 8.5 kg, offering a lighter solution compared to the Klick Power for easier portability. Triride’s Special Light allows users to choose between a 14-inch or 12-inch tyre, creating the flexibility to optimise either comfort over rough terrains or manoeuvrability in tight spaces. Although the Special Light offers greater customisation and lighter transport weight, the Klick Power has an easier user interface with the central linking system and optional Hill Hold Control feature.

Users preferring a more economical handbike for urban environments could also consider the Rehasense Eco Assist Handbike. The 350 W motor and compact 12-inch tyre perform well when navigating through tighter spaces around the city. Lifting the Eco Assist is easy as it weighs only 9.4 kg excluding batteries. Similar to the Klick Power, its maximum speed is 12.4 mph and it has a cruise control feature for a leisurely ride. While the Eco Assist might not offer the same features as the Klick Power, it is significantly more affordable for users with a lower budget.

In summary, the Klick Power functions wonderfully as a lightweight solution in urban areas. Its central linking system, electronic braking system to recover your battery and optional Hill Hold Control feature are unique to the Klaxon products. Users who do not mind investing in their handbike could opt for the Klick Power for its exceptional user experience.
