Our Verdict
The Klaxon Klick Power handbike is an excellent lightweight option for users travelling in urban areas and flat terrains. With the compact 14-inch wheel and 10.4 kg transport weight, the Klick Power effectively manoeuvres through smaller areas.
Triride Special Light handbike is a lightweight handbike generating 50 Nm of torque with a 1000 W motor. Its transport weight is only 8.5 kg, offering a lighter solution compared to the Klick Power for easier portability. Triride’s Special Light allows users to choose between a 14-inch or 12-inch tyre, creating the flexibility to optimise either comfort over rough terrains or manoeuvrability in tight spaces. Although the Special Light offers greater customisation and lighter transport weight, the Klick Power has an easier user interface with the central linking system and optional Hill Hold Control feature.
Users preferring a more economical handbike for urban environments could also consider the Rehasense Eco Assist Handbike. The 350 W motor and compact 12-inch tyre perform well when navigating through tighter spaces around the city. Lifting the Eco Assist is easy as it weighs only 9.4 kg excluding batteries. Similar to the Klick Power, its maximum speed is 12.4 mph and it has a cruise control feature for a leisurely ride. While the Eco Assist might not offer the same features as the Klick Power, it is significantly more affordable for users with a lower budget.
In summary, the Klick Power functions wonderfully as a lightweight solution in urban areas. Its central linking system, electronic braking system to recover your battery and optional Hill Hold Control feature are unique to the Klaxon products. Users who do not mind investing in their handbike could opt for the Klick Power for its exceptional user experience.
