The Cetus is billed as an all-terrain product - its highly impressive suspension, 4 inch ground clearance and massive 15 inch pneumatic tyres provide a smoother ride for those seeking a more adventurous journey. This is backed up by powerful motors driven by twin 100 Ah batteries that give the Cetus a 27 mile range.

The 22 inch wide swivel seat can be configured easily to support all shapes and sizes, with a built-in sliding mechanism, and back angle and height adjustability. The impressive 35.5 stone weight capacity allows the Cetus to take bariatric users - but we've found the scooter works just as well for lighter drivers.

A high-tech scooter, the Cetus features a backlit LCD control panel, providing you feedback on speed, temperature, battery level, trip data and diagnostics. Front and rear LED lighting plus twin rear-view mirrors ensure visibility when you travel.

As you would expect from an Invacare scooter, a wide range of accessories are available to customise your Cetus, including a front basket, USB adaptor - which pairs well with the phone holder, and an electric seat raiser - a feature rarely found on scooters.

The Cetus is clearly intended to rival TGA's prestigious 

, which it succeeds in doing. It boasts a similar level of comfort, power and off-roading ability, and is not too dissimilar in appearance with its solidly-built silver bodywork.

The Cetus is a cheaper option, but doesn't have the same warranty length (two years not three) as the Breeze or the pedigree yet. We would recommend trying both out together to see which you prefer.
